Several
years ago, one evening, we were having supper with other brothers here in
Acilia, and I was saying that God in His faithfulness and goodness provides
for our needs. So one of those brothers who were at table (he was a Rumanian
brother) asked me the following question: ‘Giacinto, how does God provide for
your needs?’ I was about to answer him, telling him how God had provided for
our needs on several occasions, when suddenly the doorbell rang. It was one
of our neighbours, who said that her freezer was broken and she was compelled
to get rid of what was in the freezer. Thus she gave us a pile of boxes
containing frozen fish (seven or eight boxes, I don’t remember exactly). |

When we
all saw those boxes, I said to that Rumanian brother: ‘That’s how God
provides for our needs’ and we – who were astonished – rejoiced in the Lord
and thanked Him. The Lord is really great. To Him be
the glory now and forevermore. Amen. |
