Thanksgiving

Brothers in the Lord, we are bound to thank God our Father through Christ Jesus for He from the beginning chose us for salvation through belief in the truth and sanctification of the Spirit. Therefore, having been saved according to God’s purpose in election, which depends on His will, we have nothing to boast about before God.

However, God not only saved us but He also called us with a holy calling; for He called us to preach the Gospel of His grace and to teach the saints in all wisdom, that we may present them perfect in Christ. So we thank Him for this also.

We thank Him for He saved you too, beloved in the Lord, from sin, you who once were far from the Lord, without hope and without Christ in this world, but in His own time you were brought near to God through the blood of Christ and you received good hope and everlasting consolation from God.
