The
North Wales Guardian for 20 January 1905 reported the following dream which made news during the Welsh
revival: ‘A North Wales correspondent writes: A remarkable fulfilment of a dream is reported
to me. The coachman of a gentleman well known in Anglesey dreamed that his
master came forward in a revival meeting and said, ‘I have come forward to
show that I am not ashamed to confess Christ’. He mentioned the dream to several
persons next day, and that evening was astonished to see his master step
forward at the revival meeting and say, ‘I have come forward to show that I
am not ashamed to confess Christ’. The incident created a profound sensation,
especially amongst those to whom the coachman had previously related his
dream. My informant, a Methodist minister, assures me he has personally
verified the statements made above’.
