A man
working in the baggage room of a large railroad station dropped a heavy
parcel on his foot and began to curse. A little girl, standing at the doorway
of the room, called to him: "Please, mister, don't talk that way. Don't
you know that God hears you?" Her words gripped the man and convicted
him of his sinfulness. Throughout the balance of the day, and through the
night, her question plagued him. "Don't you know that God hears
you?" Again and again these words rang in his ears. It was the turning
point in his life. Within a few days this man cried out to God in faith and
was converted. The witness of a little child convicted him of his need and he
found the way of life through the Gospel which he had often heard but had
never heeded until this time. -- The Pilgrim |
