4. If a divorced man turns to the Lord, can he remarry after his
conversion? |

No, he can’t,
because according to the law of God he is still bound to his wife, whom he
divorced before his conversion. Because you must keep in mind that according
to the Word of God marriage is dissolved only by the death of one’s spouse.
Therefore, if his wife dies he can remarry, but as long as his wife lives he
must remain unmarried. In other words, he must remain in the situation in
which he was when he got saved, as it is written: ““Each one should remain in
the situation which he was in when God called him” (1 Corinthians |

Obviously
a divorced woman also, who has turned to the Lord, must remain in the
situation in which she was (that is, unmarried) when God called her, as long
as her husband lives. |
