According
to what the Scripture teaches, they believe that there is one God, for James
says: “You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons
believe – and tremble!” (James 2:19
– NKJV). Here is what all their ‘faith’ is, and that ‘faith’ is not
accompanied by any good works, but rather by endless wicked works. Therefore,
their ‘faith’ is a worthless faith. James takes the example of the demons to show
us that faith in the existence of God is not enough, for we must also do good
works; otherwise our faith will be a dead faith.
